Everyone is always looking for the next best diet. The one that promises that they will lose weight without causing too much havoc on their lives. On top of that research shows that people who start crazy restrictive diets are more likely to give up after just a few days.
In fact, my husband is one of them, he suggested we try a vegan based diet only to give up after just one vegan dinner. He left me in the cold and I have continued on with the diet, what can I say, I love a challenge.
But most people are not like me, and would follow in the foot steps of my husband. And its for all diets, not just crazy vegan. So Dr Oz went on The Today Show to explain his ?new? theory on dieting... the eat what you want diet.
His diet plan goes something like this... eat what you want but enjoy it in moderation and in proper portion control, wow there is a new idea, a bit of sarcasm. He also goes on to explain how if you love burgers substitute beef with turkey and other ideas...
I know what you are wondering, is this a new diet? This is the diet plan that has been thrown around for hundreds, if not thousands of years, clearly nothing new. People gain weight from eating too much food and not exercising enough, so to lose weight you just have to turn it around, eat less through portion sizes and move around a little more, you will lose weight.
I think it is quite safe to say that our issue with dieting is that people over complicate them far too much, thanks to fad diets that line the bookshelves. Fill up on foods like fruits, beans and vegetables and cut out the processed foods and the eating out that people are doing.
Aside from just the diet, it is very important to add in a fat burning, muscle toning workout. This will surprise you but dieting accounts roughly for 70 to even 80-percent to the weight you lose however exercise helps to transform your body with the diet to be tight and lean versus thin and saggy.
It is a no brainer. Eat more healthy foods, eat less junk food and workout more. These three pieces of the puzzle can help you transform your body.
