You don't hear water sloshing around when sleeping on it just if you pick the pillow up, so don't worry. Amazingly comfortable, no neck pain, and sleep comes more quickly than ever before.
I tried this pillow for a little over a week, but found little success. They recommend you change the water every six months or so, depending on what type of water you put in.
It is a huge part of my treatment along with physical therapy.
You put your own pillow in the pocket. I have neck and upper back problems, and have tried just about every type of neck pillow- special shapes, foam- even a Tempurpedic that gave out after less than two years. All in all, I really like this pillow and I am happy with my purchase.
Now, I rarely wake up at night.
But I should note that I was sleeping on a fairly soft down pillow before and perhaps changing to just a foam (or firmer) pillow might have helped as well. Filled, it is just too heavy for a side sleeper who ends up with their arm under the pillow.
In the past I would normally run my arm under for added support and comfort, but that's all history considering the superiority of this pillow. I like this pillow. You have to get the air out for it to be the most comfortable.
I was happy with it, but I just wish it would last longer.
I purchased a Mediflow pillow and used it nightly for about 4 years and it just recently sprung a leak. This pillow has kept my neck in a suitable position, eliminating about 70-90% of my problems. The pillow is heavy and bulky, it can not be flipped over to the other side and can not be molded around the head.
I had no problems filling and getting extra air out. Plus, my headaches, neck pain and arm pain were gone after the first night. I didn't realize you had to add your own water. I just hope I can stay awake til it gets here.
I thought it would be my dream come true. The only time I got a stiff neck is when I traveled out of town and slept without the pillow. It's not uncomfortable and my neck doesn't hurt but it's still not a "pleasure" to lay down on. But overall, it's just okay. I've used one of those foam pillows with the wider part in the front for neck support for a number of years.
